• Changes to the appearance of physical assets and offices are underway and are expected to continue over the remainder of 2023.
• Our Hamburg Süd social media accounts and newsletters will be phased out. Relevant content will be shared on Maersk equivalents going forward.

As part of unifying our brands, we are incorporating the essence of Hamburg Süd into Maersk. That means carrying over our commitment to always being by your side. We will continue to be your personal and trusted supply chain partner, able to cater for all your transport bookings and logistics needs, and you will gain access to an even greater range of products and services.

Uniting Hamburg Süd with the Maersk brand was made with you, our customers, at its centre. It will give you access to a greater range of transportation products and logistical services, plus easy access to booking through Maersk.com.

In the coming months, we will begin servicing you using the Maersk name. You will then be invited to begin booking through Maersk. Depending on how you currently book with us, we will endeavour to mirror your booking journey with Maersk, including setting up new EDI and API connections.

If you use EDI and API connections with a third-party provider, you need to inform this third party once you have been migrated from Hamburg Süd to Maersk. After this point, new EDI bookings can only be placed with the Maersk EDI channel.

We understand that even after the migration, there may still be shipments enroute, and we have asked third party providers to continue to send EDI Cargo Status messages until those shipments are complete.

We understand that not all Hamburg Süd customers will need integrated logistics services and products. If this is the case for you, you will still have access to the elements you need, as well as our continued commitment to providing you with the best possible service. The goal of simplifying our commercial setup is to bring you more options for your supply chain and to offer you more modality and less restrictions. Our ambition is to mirror your current booking journey where possible, but we also want to simplify how you interact with us. As such, you might be encouraged to start booking with us through the Maersk.com website after a given transition period.

We understand that some customers may not have used an online booking system before. If this is the case for you, please visit our section about booking online. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our local teams if you have any questions.

Existing invoices accrued before your business is migrated should be paid as specified on those invoices.

In uniting Hamburg Süd with the Maersk brand, we will now be able to offer you Maersk’s extensive suite of products and services, adding increased visibility and control in your global supply chain. Going forward, our strong combined competencies will continue to support your business needs.

Our current network design is brand agnostic and therefore will not be affected by the brand unification.

We will gradually onboard customers to Maersk services represented by Maersk agents starting from June. The Hamburg Süd shipments will be handled by your current TPA representation until your business is migrated, and you can begin booking through Maersk.
