Port of Gothenburg Performance - Update

04-Aug-2017

Customer Information Europe & Baltic States

Dear Customer,

Further to our customer letter dated 19th May on the situation in Gothenburg we are pleased to now be able to confirm that the situation has slightly improved.

The productivity of the terminal is slowly improving and vessels arriving on window are operated but still with restricted move counts. The terminal is therefore not yet capable of absorbing full return of cargo and feeder vessels are still forced to sail light.

Given the longer working hours since the end of the lock out strike, move counts are starting to increase so that the congestion surcharge can be reduced from currently EUR 135 / TEU to:

EUR 90 / TEU effective 7th August 2017

for im- and export cargo, payable locally.

Delays are still to be expected but we try to minimize the inconvenience caused as much as
possible for our customers.

Further information can be obtained from your local Hamburg Süd and Aliança Offices.
